Yes, the library would be better - no-one would notice.

Mother is also having doubts about the wisdom of teaching Becky her full name and address. It would make abandoning her much easier.

Two years of parenting left no doubt abortion was the better option.

A semblance of conscience did prompt, affected, class conscious Mother to change her plan after all.

No doubt the library would not only be logistically an expedient drop-off point but that Becky would be left among a more literate group there than those snail-mail users, unflattering pictures of missing, abducted, runaway children, posters of terrorists and the ten most wanted at the Post Office.

Mother's plan depends on her disappearing without trace. Becky must be distracted, mustn't realise Mother's no longer nearby. That'll be easier at the library, even though it's further from the car park where her new identity awaits, packed neatly into a used car bought for cash.
Her double-crossing husband so badly deserves to be framed for her murder.

Lol! Honestly, the things people come up with - the Post Office indeed! Everyone knows the easiest way is to move house when they're at school:)

Mother is having a moment of doubt. Should she have paid extra for special delivery? Or made some air holes?
