Oh, well spotted, Robert! That was only there for a few minutes, I think. How quickly Google caches things.

I fell out with the original just after I posted and decided to rework it slightly into the version posted today... but did I make the right decision?

The original version has much stronger punchline, according to my opinion.

I like them both but the original punches better and is more creepy. Keep it up, the blog is hilarious.

i just stumbled your way... i'm in love with your project!

I prefer the new version...

I also prefer the new version. It's the 'game' part that gets me. Wonderfully sinister!

I'm going to say... the newer one is better... the original is pretty good to, but I think you made the right choice!

Pretend or Family, I think they are synonymous.

the second version is much nicer. "strange lady" is too on the nose.

i think this one works much better.

I love the use of "the lady" here.

I love both!

I prefer the 'pretend' version by far. It keeps the simple sentence and content the real cards have. Although the original deals a harder punchline it is further removed from the parody subject.

you made the right choice, the new version is much more funny and reads better

I think the original was more in line with your usual posts. The beginnings you usually use sound like they could be the original wording then you change it up a little to be unpredictable, but this pretend one starts out sounding "fake" to me.

"It will be a little game" makes the new one the winner. It kicks it from eye-opening to mind-blowing, and your mind races to keep up with the possibilities. The old one ("...strange lady") is too vague to be effective I think.

I'm following this blog via Google Reader, which showed the original. Didn't notice the "new" one till now. I think the original one's a lot more interesting/creepy/sordid. Maybe I don't get the new one, why would the policeman care?

I prefer the "pretend" version.

I like this version better than the family one :D

Both are great. Can't you have both?

Second one is clearer. But I think they both cross the line because child abduction is just too serious. I hope you'll reconsider.

I Love the word "Pretend"...

It has an awesome use!

I guess it's too late, but 'he wants us to make-believe for the German(s/ policeman)', would be much more offensive and therefore, funnier.
Child abduction is sick, but the holocaust is much more sick, no?

I'm kind of surprised there's none related to that so far actually.
