But because the maid is an illegal immigrant she got a grant to fix up her house and compensation for her hurt feeling, the maid's employer was fined and jailed for being a racist for not giving the maid her house, the government apologised to her as they wanted to be seen to care for everyone except the people who voted them in in the first place.
Just what, exactly, are the blue flames doing, licking out of the first floor window of your house? Were these set by the maid, in retaliation for her miserable treatement at the hands of his lordship, Russ?
I really hope this doesn't come off as snooty or elitist, but I would suggest changing your font choice from Times New Roman to Clarendon. Clarendon is a very easy to read font that (at least in the United States) was used in many children's books and might grant your images even more believability. If this sounds rude, simply ignore it!
Thanks for the interesting comment, Doug. For now I'm using Times because I don't have Clarendon installed on my (swiftly dying) laptop, but it's definitely something to bring to the attention of the publishers of the forthcoming MFD book. So, thank you!
Thanks to Timothy and Mary for the kind words, and everyone else for their stinging social commentary, as Ellie would say!
I don't know about Clarendon, but it seems a little heavy for this kind of use. If you're going for that retro, Macguffey's Reader kind of feel, you might want to look into Bookman Oldstyle or Century Schoolbook.

Then the Extreme Home Makeover people'll come up and renovate the maid's house 'til it's all shiny!
Happily ever after? D:
empty
The little house is empty since the maid moved out.
No one lives there.
It will be baby's house instead.
Real Estate Salesman
Real Estate Salesman is a liar.
This is how he describes the house.
This is how the house looks.
Thank you for my twisted lil ray of demented sunshine!
oooh, I sense some social commentary.

I'm new to this blog but I've already read every single word. Excellent.

This is the house we used to live in.
This is the house we now live in so that the bankers can have bonuses.
House
A house is a building in which people live.
This is our house.
My brother was born with a club foot. We make him stay out back.
