Charming.
This one is actually optimistic in a perverted way. Simon is not excluded from activities -- he just has to wait for his turn.
alphabetically
Simon is trying to remember his friends names so he kill them alphabetically.
Pain wrapped in anger wrapped in the unfairness of life wrapped in a cute children's book illustration.
I doff my hat to you, Sir.
Comfort
Simon takes comfort in the knowledge that the roller skaters are going to hell.
He is happy that they will pay for their frivolity forever and ever.
Simon sits for hours watching the children skate.
He must choose his victim carefully.

nice to think that Simon's friends can have a 'bone disease' too. their skates somehow may suddenly stop working.
Cut
Simon is waiting for his friends to stop skating so he can use the blades and cut his wrists.
He can't affoard skates cause his dad is an alcoholic.
Patient, Patiently
Simon needs to be very patient. Earlier he removed the stop sign from the crossroad. Simon patiently watches the event unfold.
