Today’s word must be “indecision” (although I’m not sure). In any case, I’ve ended up with
two different definitions to accompany the same illustration – and I’d like you to vote, if you will, for the one you think should go into the dictionary. Use the poll to the right, which closes on Friday, when the losing word will disappear into a wormhole, never to be seen again.*
*Until next month, when I run out of ideas and probably have to reuse it.

I expect pocket to win, it has instant giggle appeal. But burden wins for me because it's more cruel.
I agree with Josephs sentiments - but am going for pissed because it's obvious and I laughed rather than cringed!
Approaching, as I am, my dotage, and preferring pissing my pocket to being a burden...
Burden. Much darker.
I'm going to have to go with burden.
Definitely pocket-pissing, because it's gross visually (grandpa's penis flopping pocket-side), and rings of the various smells caused by old people. Whenever you can have a dictionary entry that touches on more senses than just sight, you have a winning dictionary entry.
I voted pocket, because of the expression on Grampa's face, but burden seems to be winning.
I love burden.
Burden, as well as being dark and cruel, is unfortunately more realistic. Not that old people don't piss in their pants... they do, but that is usually filed in the "burden" drawer.
I voted for burden. The vulgarity in the second one seems out of place for a children's dictionary.
Burden.
burden. because him pissing in his pocket is in and of itself burden on the others around him. also, pocket isn't as insightful of a word.
Burden!!!
I like the burden one better - more cruel :)
Burden. They are.
Burden.
Burden is much more cruel, Pocket comes off as gratuitously crass
Burden.
Burden it is!
Pissing in pockets it's way normal in everyday life...
Burden, because it's true.
BURDEN
I thought he was doing something else through his pocket..., that's the way the first pervert I ever saw ('cept my dear parents) exposed himself to me when I was 8 years old.
I also kinda liked the idea that he had removed his jacket and pissed in it, enjoying the wetness and ammonia goodness when he put it back on.
I don't think you people have had very nice childhoods!
while both are excellent, BURDEN mos def wins! i'm an avid fan, keep up the great work :D
Burden.
I mean, who doesn't piss in their pockets from time to time? I know I do - and anyone who says he doesn't is a liar.
srsly they both suck.
they're too easy. think of sth else.
Burden.
A burden is a source of worry and stress.
Gramps hopes his burden is never found.
I took away something entirely different as he appeared to be holding a small intestine in his bloody hands. Although pocket could easily work.
pocket - A pocket is a pouch in an item of clothing.
After stuffing his pockets with entrails, Ed realized this was an inefficient way to dispose of the remains.
Burden, definitely. Less crass, more deeply worrying.
Doug, I didn't know this was a children's dictionary. I voted for pocket, because burden is just too sad.
I voted burden.
Also, I love this blog!
All I can see is an intestine now...
Thanks for the kind comments, those who've left them. They truly belie your intrinsic nastiness for mostly picking burden!
Burden!
Burden please.
Burden.
Can't we just let the old buren piss in his pocket?
Burden is far more subtle and cruel, a clear winner!
I think burden should definitely be the winner here. While the piss one is funny, the burden one definitely follows along with the theme of this website!
Surprise
A surprise is something that is unexpected.
Gramps has a surprise in his pocket for the children at the library.
