Hey, that happens to me all the time: the confounding of peek/peak. And I'm pernickety when it comes to words! But it is indeed the presence of "sneak" or some variation thereon that sneaks in and mucks up the "peek." It happens to the best of it. And we're the same ones that actually appreciate having the typo pointed out for rectification! :D
